DescriptionI want to stop user while connecting (like nickname in use on connect)
I thought, it would be fine if there is a hooktype for pre connect routines but not like pre_local_connect.Also that would be fine for other module coders.

I think by now, 3.4.x, there are plenty of such hooks/methods. I write authorization modules myself and have no problems hooking in, anyway.
